OKO was born out of a number of collaborations at Bottlenote Festivals and concert series in 2010 and 2011. The band features guitarist Shane Latimer, keyboardist Darragh O’Kelly, percussionist Shane O’Donovan and turntablist DJackulate. As well as making a name for themselves around the Irish festival scene, they have also performed in Oslo at the 2013 Match&Fuse Festival and represented Ireland at 12 Points the same year.

I Love You Computer Mountain sees the group improvise on skeletal compositions, drawing on a wealth of influences such as krautrock, vintage TV shows, free jazz, noise, ambient, dub, drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep, musak, hip- hop, IDM and more. The music shifts from lush synth-drenched sculptures to tight hooks, loose grooves, robust scratching and liberated improvising.

Recorded in Bow Lane Studios, Dublin with Jimmy Eadie in 2012, this album will released on both CD and vinyl and is presented with funding from the Arts Council of Ireland Recording Scheme Award, managed by Music Network.
